In Perth, council permission for re-roofing is generally not required. However, if you are switching from a heavier component, such as tiles or asbestos, to a lighter material, a permit will be necessary due to the structural changes involved. If you’re replacing your roof with the same material, such as steel to steel, no permit is needed as no structural tie-downs are required. If permits are needed, Virtue Roofing will handle all the admin and legwork for you.
